Welcome to the Games and Literary Theory Conference 2013, Valletta, Malta



We would like to welcome you to the First International Conference on Games and Literary Theory, being organized by the Institute of Digital Games and the Department of English at the University of Malta, in collaboration with a network of academics in North America, Europe, Australia and Asia.

The conference is being held at the Old University Building, Valletta, Malta, on October 31 and November 1, 2013.

PhD students are also invited to attend a PhD seminar titled Games and Subjectivity: Text, Experience, Identity and the Self, which is being held in the same venue on November 2. For more details, visit the seminar page here. The deadline for applying for the seminar is Monday, September 30.

Presenters at the conference are reminded to submit their full paper draft by Monday, September 30. This draft is only for use in the conference proceedings, which shall be distributed internally to attendees. Presenters wishing to submit their paper for consideration for publication in a special issue of Game Studies will be given the opportunity to submit a revised draft later on; however, we ask you to register your interest in doing so by sending an email by Friday, September 20.
